Beverly A. ” Bev ” Cassiday, age 69, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois on Sunday evening at 7:12 pm. Beverly was born on September 9, 1955 in Galesburg, Illinois and is the daughter of Mac and Alberta Burn McGuire. She was raised in the Larchland and Monmouth area where she attended local schools and Monmouth High School. Beverly married Jay Calvin Cassiday on November 6, 1973 in Monmouth, Illinois and he is surviving her. Beverly began work at the local Hardee’s Restaurant in Monmouth. After this she was employed by CRG in the Business and Technology Center building and later in the new facility south of Monmouth. Beverly has always been a “stay-at-home ” mom raising her family and caring for them. She loved to baby sit the kids and was all about her family. She loved to bowl and play bingo and more recently play the lotto. Her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was her whole life. 

Beverly is survived by her husband, Jay C. Cassiday of Monmouth, and two sons, David C. Cassiday and Amy of Guntersville, Alabama and Jay C. Cassiday II and Jennifer of Monmouth, Illinois. Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also are surviving. Bevely’s sister, Barb Foreman of Monmouth is surviving her and her brother, Danny Warren and Christal of Monmouth, Illinois. A number of other relatives also survive her. She is preceded in her death by her parents and a brother Donnie. 

A funeral service for Bevely is planned on Friday January 17th at 11:00 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois; where her family plans to receive their friends prior to the service, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will them be in the Ellison Cemetery near Smithshire, Illinois. Following their service fellowship will be in Liberty Hall in Smithshire.
