Gary L. Davis, 65, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on January 2, 2025 at his home.

He was born on October 25, 1959 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Clifford and Patricia (Shores) Davis.  Gary was raised and educated in Avon and graduated from Avon High School.  He later graduated from Carl Sandburg College with a degree in Law Enforcement. 

He married Connie Turnquist on November 16, 1980 in Knoxville, IL, they later divorced. 

Gary worked in the automotive industry for many years.  He enjoyed fishing and traveling. 

Surviving Gary is one daughter, Jennifer Davis of Rock Island, IL; one niece, Shawna White of Macomb, IL; and four great nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Paula McNeff and brother-in-law, George McNeff.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Per Gary’s wishes no visitation or services are planned.  Memorials can be made to the Gary Davis Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
