June I. Anderson, 92, of Galesburg, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

June was born January 1, 1933, in Greenbush, the daughter of Raymond and Virginia (Vickers) Ekstrom. She married Ralph H. Anderson on June 10, 1951, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death May 24, 2013.

She is survived by a son, John (Kimberly) Anderson of Hudson, New York; a daughter, Linda (Brian) Dillin of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Kelly (Jeremy) Meyer, Kathy Dillin, Joshua Anderson, Abby Dillin, and Jessie (Micah) Whiteman; four great grandchildren, Lydia, Aurora, Madelyn, and Ella; and a sister, Martha Felske of Springfield, Missouri. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Andrew Anderson.

June attended Knoxville High School, graduating in 1950. She worked most of her life in department store sales, including Arlene’s Dress Shop and the Bergner’s Store in Galesburg.

June was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 84 years and dedicated her whole life to sharing God’s word in the local community.

Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 201 N. Linwood Road, Galesburg. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. The service will be livestreamed at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83460446195?pwd=oDYjPfIuIVfNri0CWsFFXWSbiEu6re.1.
