Rhoda A. Yette, 91, of Galesburg, died at 9:33 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, at home with her family.

She was born March 2, 1933, in East Galesburg, the daughter of Ira L. and Olive M. (Pascoe) Bevard. She married Theodore “Ted” W. Yette on November 21, 1973, in Galesburg.

She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Ted; two sons, Terry V. Hillier of Galesburg, and Stan (Kathy) Hillier of Galesburg; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dale and Pete Hillier; and two brothers, Phillip and Ira Bevard.

Rhoda graduated from Sterling High School and Pensacola Junior College. She worked as a geriatric specialist at Galesburg Research Hospital for 14 years and later worked as a medical secretary at various offices. She was a member of First Church of God. Rhoda was creative and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and painting.

Private family graveside service will be Friday in East Linwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God.
