Man Charged After Train Hits SUV In East Galesburg

A man faces charges after a train hit an SUV in East Galesburg.  Police say the incident happened early yesterday on the tracks near State Street.  No injuries were reported.  The driver of the vehicle, Donell Matthews, exited the SUV prior to impact and left the scene.  He was later located and charged with DUI, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and trespass to railroad property.
