Western Illinois University Increases Tuition

The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees approved the contract of President Dr. Kristi Mindrup at the March 20 meeting. President Mindrup’s contract will run through June 30, 2027.

At the meeting, the Board voted to increase tuition by 2% for new undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the University Housing and Dining rate by 5.02%. Student fees remain unchanged at $101.56 dollars per credit hour.

The 2025-2026 tuition rate for new domestic undergraduate students on the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses will be $343.23 /credit hour and $393.90/credit hour for new graduate students.

The WIU Tuition Guarantee ensures that undergraduate students pay the same rate for tuition for their four years of continuous enrollment. WIU also offers numerous automatic scholarship incentives.
