Jeffrey Alan Getz, 64, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, died at 9:19 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in Allure of Knox County in Galesburg, Illinois.

He was born April 19, 1961, in New Kensington, the son of Robert “Bob” and Donna (Ross) Getz. He married Marybeth Gallo and together they had two children, Joshua Michael Getz and Sara Elizabeth (Nick) Morrissey. They survive.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, Michael Tyler Getz and Alice Marie Getz; a brother, Kurt (Monica) Getz; and a sister, Leslie (Michael) Valchar. His parents preceded him in death.

Jeff was raised and educated in New Kensington, where he graduated from Valley High School in 1979. He worked for many years as an orthotist.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed painting pictures and refinishing old furniture. He also enjoyed fishing. He was the lead singer of a band for several years.

As Jeff requested, cremation will be accorded. No visitation or service is planned. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
