Ms. Joan M. Woods, 79, of Oneida, Illinois died at 9:13, p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois.

Joan was born August 18, 1945, in Galesburg, the daughter of Everett and Margaret (Johnson) Rees.  She was raised in Galesburg and lived in Farmington for some time.  In 1993 she moved to Oneida.

She is survived by four nieces.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Don Rees and Bob Rees, and a sister, Charlotte Fielder.

Joan graduated from Galesburg High School in 1963.  She worked in retail sales for Hawthorne Drugs, OT Johnsons and Eichhorn Jewelers.  She spent 33 years working for Farm King Supply, before retiring in 2009.  She also worked as the Inventory Coordinator for US Cellular prior to her retirement.  Joan was a member of the Galesburg Motorcycle Club and loved to golf and trap shoot.  She was of the Lutheran Faith.

Cremation will be accorded.  There are no services planned.  Private cremation burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is honored to serve the family.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
