Sen. Anderson Responds to IHSA’s Response of Men Competing in Women Sports

Share

State Senator Neil Anderson (R-Andalusia) has released the below statement following a response letter to Senate Republican members from the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) on allowing men to compete in female sports:

“As a father of a student-athlete and a former collegiate athlete myself, I am deeply disgusted by the decision of the Illinois High School Association’s President and Director. Their endorsement of biological males competing in girls’ sports is not just irresponsible, it’s a betrayal of every female athlete who has worked hard to earn her place. There are two genders: male and female. No amount of identity politics changes biology. Allowing males to compete against females is not inclusion, it’s injustice. It’s dangerous, it’s unfair, and it erases the very foundation of women’s sports. I will not stand by while our daughters are robbed of safety, opportunity, and the level playing field they deserve. This is a line in the sand, and I will fight to defend it. If you disagree with me, I’m not interested in your approval.”
