United Red Storm Baseball Readies for Senior Night

The United Red Storm Baseball made their Annual trip to Nazareth Academy in the Chicago-area for two games last Saturday. For the first time since United started making the trip north several years ago, the Red Storm garnered a win. United grabbed a 3-0 win over a solid Holy Trinity sqaud. The Red Storm fell in the nightcap, 11-0 to Nazareth Academy.

On Tuesday, United continued their winning ways, besting Annawan Wethersfield, 9-5. Chance Stewart led the way at the plate with a 3-for-4 performance and Aiden Martin picks up the win on the mound.

On Thursday night, the Red Storm traveled to Galva for a LTC cross-division matchup. United would get a hard-earned 10-7 victory in 9 innings. Ian Leffler was 3-for-5 at the plate with 3 rbis and Chance Stewart grabs the win on the bump, pitching 4 innings and only allowing 1 hit while earning 6 strikeouts.

Senior night for the Red Storm baseball team is slated for next week and United head coach Ryan Molek shared his list of seniors that will be honored before the game.

United will be back on the diamond tonight, as the Red Storm will travel to Abingdon-Avon for a pivotal LTC West division double header. Next week United will be at home for two more LTC cross-division matchups. Tuesday, United will host Princeville and Thursday the Red Storm will be at home against Stark County for senior night.
