It is with great sadness that the family of David Wayne Lindsey announce his passing on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the age of 56.

David was born May 9, 1968, in Galesburg, the son of Wayne Rodney and Margaret Ann (Markland) Lindsey. He was a 1986 graduate of ROVA High School.

David will forever be remembered by his wife of 30 years, Charlotte, and children Elizabeth Lindsey of Galesburg and Timothy D. Lindsey of Victoria. Also surviving are his sister, Dawn Pelton of Oneida, and brother, Nicholas (Jessica & family) Lindsey of Oneida. David was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Dan ‘Diesel’ Pelton.

David was a farmer in his early years and then went to work as a service technician for Westbay Equipment, which later became Birkey’s Farm Stores. He enjoyed traveling and could often be found riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. David loved to make people laugh and was known for his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and dogs, Buster and Otis.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 pm with a celebration of David’s life Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:00 am, both at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made in David’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Bikers for Ta-Tas. Online condolences may be offered at www.h-p-w.com.
