Maureen “Mo” K. Kinkaid, 71, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Legacy Estates in Monmouth.

Mo was born on April 6, 1954, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of William Ross and Patricia Ann (Egnor) Hines. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1972. In 1973, she attended Sawyer Secretarial School in Davenport, IA, where she met her lifelong best friend, Jean.

In 1976, she married Mike Kinkaid in Monmouth, and they later divorced. Then she married Richard Taylor in 1993, and they later divorced.

Mo worked for her father at Hines and McClintock in Monmouth. She went on to work for the Illinois Department of Public Aid for over 30 years in the Monmouth and Galesburg offices.

Mo was unique, vivacious, energetic, adventurous, fun-loving, and always ready to have a good time. She went on many adventures, travelling the world with a group of girlfriends. Mo loved to ride her purple Harley, wintering in Florida, jewelry, and listening to Elvis. She loved to tell the story of how she placed second in a powder puff stock car race.

Survivors include children, Brian Kinkaid of Monmouth, Bindy (Jay) Raymond of Monmouth; grandchildren, Brianna, Alli, and Kendra Raymond, Jayelyn, Jennika, and Jameson Raymond; many nieces and nephews; two brothers, Mike (Linda) Hines of Galesburg and Mark (Karen) Hines of Tennessee; and many friends found all over.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shelly Hines.

A Celebration of Life will be 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2025, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
