United Red Storm Softball had a challenging schedule last week as they took on the defending class 1A champs Ridgewood for a double header and two games against a very solid Knoxville squad that has won 17 games this season. The Red Storm were on the losing end of all 4 games, dropping their overall record to (4-20) and (1-13) in Lincoln Trail Conference play. The Red Storm have 7 games remaining in the regular season and first-year head coach Mike Maguire shares what he wants to see out of his team as the postseason approaches.

The Red Storm will try to build a little momentum heading into regional play in the next two weeks as they host Princeville, who holds a similar record of (5-17), for a double header on Thursday. The Red Storm will then travel to (9-11) Stark County for another LTC double header on Saturday. On Monday, United will make the long 3 mile haul to South Park in Monmouth to take on the (5-16) Monmouth-Roseville Titans. You can hear this game on the PCSN on AM 1330/FM 95.7 with the pregame starting at 4:10, first pitch at 4:30. United will try to avenge a 15-8 loss to the Titans in late-March.
