Dennis D. “Dale” Hall, 80, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at his home.

Dale was born June 27, 1945 in Buckner, IL the son of Charlie Logan and Iva Neva (Williams) Hall.  He was raised and educated in Benton, IL.

Dale married Linda Neal at the Fairview Center United Methodist Church on December 2, 1966 and she survives.

He was a custodian and bus driver for the Alexis School District for 10 years.  He later was an independent carpet installer for several local stores and worked for Safeway Carpet Cleaners for 15 years before retiring in 1995.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking but mostly he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was also member of the Eagles Club in Monmouth.  Anyone who knew Dale knows that he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hall of Monmouth; his children, Lisa (Danny) Connerly of Monmouth, Dennis D. (Shelly) Hall, Jr. of Green Cove Springs, FL; and Charles “Ernie” (Anita) Hall,; 6 grandchildren, Danny (Emily) Connerly, Megan (Jimmy) Skipper, Brooklyn (Connor) Veenstra, Tristin Thomas, Emily Hall and Brittany Hall; 8 great grandchildren, Olivia VanSkike, Weston Skipper, Charlotte Connerly, Maci Sexton, Molly Connerly, Scarlett Skipper, Danny Connerly and Jayce VanSkike; 2 sisters, Joann Stites and LaDonna (Ted) Long both of Benton, IL. also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Wanda; brothers, Charles, Kenny and Larry.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm. Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Interment will be at Little York Cemetery, Little York, IL.  Visitation will be Tuesday prior to the services from 12:30-2:00 pm at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and sent to the funeral home.
