Carol Ione Zimdars

Carol Ione Zimdars, age 86, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away October 11, 2025 at home.  She was born November 16, 1938 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Wayne and Ione Haag Woolridge.  On May 25, 1957, she married Kenneth Zimdars in Hartland, Wisconsin.  He preceded he in death on June 19, 2019.

Carol was a homemaker and farm wife most of her married life.  Earlier, she had worked as a nurse’s aide, bank teller, managed a JC Penney shoe department store, and worked in children’s day care.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan (Fred) Kruczinski of Des Plaines, IL, Barbara (Steve) Polishinski of Sun Prairie, WI, Janet (Patrick) Peterson of Stronghurst, one son, Glenn (Dodie) Zimdars of Burlington, WI, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one sister, Dawn (Robert) Archut of Alamogordo, NM.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Warren Woolridge, and an infant brother, Wayne Eugene Woolridge.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in the Hartland Village Cemetery, Hartland, Wisconsin, with Pat Peterson officiating.  No visitation is planned.  Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is assisting the family.  Please visit Carol’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to leave a condolence.
