The lead service line replacement project in the City of Monmouth is nearing completion, informs Communications Director Ken Helms:

“Advanced Plumbing is currently working on the restoration of the disturbed areas that they have. So, if you had a lead service line that is getting replaced, it goes through different stages. They do the replacement of it, then they backfill it, pour some gravel, put concrete in it is in the roadway, and if it is in your boulevard, they do the backfill, let it settle, and then they come back and do some hydro seeding on it.”

The City of Monmouth’s Water Department continues to replace water meters throughout town, while the Street Department has almost completed the roadway paint striping.
