Henry Co Judge To Reconsider Sentence Of Man Convicted In Death Of Knox Co. Deputy

A Henry County judge will be reconsidering the life sentence of the man convicted of killing a Knox County Deputy in 2022.  Daylon Richardson will appear in Henry County court today after a motion to reconsider his sentence was filed in September.  A jury convicted him of two counts of first-degree murder in February of 2024.  Prosecutors say he was being chased by law enforcement when he hit and killed Deputy Sheriff Nick Weist.
