Rehabilitation of the former BTC building at 620 South Main Street in Monmouth continues. Bryon Robbins, with Robbins Resource Management and Maple City Warehouse, explains the vision for retail and offices for the space in the near future:
“The second and third floor, we are going to keep the offices exactly the way they were, we will just do some updating. We are putting in new flooring. What we are wanting to do is be able to have that same ability to be able to have people that are working out of their homes, maybe they are thinking about starting a business, maybe they are expanding, or wanting to hire their first employees; so it is going to be a great place to be like an incubator to be able to bring them in. The fourth floor is a floor that has a lot of potential as far as it could be redesigned almost into anything, it has very few walls. Then the fifth floor, the elevator service for people does not reach he fifth floor, but the freight elevator does. The fifth floor could be anything from light manufacturing, and we have also talked about putting a wellness center there for our staff.”
Maple City Warehouse recently purchased the building at 96 Public Square in the Downtown Monmouth, the former location of Stanton Insurance and Odd Fellows.
