He was born January 21, 1945, in Galesburg to Wilbur “Webb” Argast and Lillian Ione McNeil. Roger wed three times, proving he never did anything halfway, including love and commitment.

Roger graduated from Galesburg High School in 1963. He retired officially after 25 years but always kept working. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Galesburg. Roger enjoyed watching college sports, golf, cars, listening to any genre of rock music, talking politics, and having a “spirited” debate. Known as the Candy Man, Roger had love for sweets, especially chocolate.

As Roger requested, his body will be donated to science. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association or the Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation.
