Spain’s agriculture minister said about a third of all Spanish pork exports have been blocked after an outbreak of swine fever. The Agriculture Minister said officials are working to reopen exports as quickly as possible to more than 100 countries. The virus, last recorded in Spain in 1994, was detected in six wild boar near Barcelona. The minister said the value of the country’s pork exports is nearly nine billion euros, which 58-percent of goes to the European Union.
