Remodeling and renovations continue at the former VFW building in Monmouth as Warren Achievement Center is transforming the space into their new Community Day Services facility, informs President & CEO Rick Barnhill:

“We are getting towards the end where we need to start doing the finishing things, but it is coming along nicely. We used our maintenance crew for a lot of the internal construction part of it, and they have done a wonderful job,” states Barnhill.

“Right now, we are close to the million-dollar mark when you factor in the purchase of the building and the remodeling. This building came along, and we were able to purchase it. Right away we knew that it needed to be remodeled to fit our needs, but it is ideal. It is in the community. We call our program Community Day Services. Well, on the south end, we are really not in a community, it is more of an ag or manufacturing area. This actually puts us in the community,” Barnhill adds.

“We then realized we needed to add onto the building because we have several programs and in order to get every achiever in a day program, we knew that add on was necessary. That is going to be about a 4,500 square foot add on,” reports Barnhill.

Warren Achievement Center’s new Community Day Services facility will be located at 830 North G Street in Monmouth.
