Mr. Albert Rossell, 86, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Albert was born on September 4, 1939, in Abingdon, Illinois, the son of Ray Dale and Alpharetta (Trout) Rossell. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ross, on February 1, 1963, in Galesburg, Illinois.

Albert is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Elizabeth Rossell of Galesburg; one son, Keith E. (and Jennifer) Rossell of Cape Coral, Florida; two brothers, his twin brother Alfred (and Sharon) Rossell of Geneseo, Illinois, and Bill (and Rosie) Rossell of Henderson, Illinois; one sister, Barbara Myrick of Henderson, Illinois; three granddaughters, Bailey Rossell, Kylie Rossell, and Lilly Rossell; two step-granddaughters, Savannah Letter and Sarah Letter; and two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Sailor Grace. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Eugene Rossell, Terry Rossell, and Howard Rossell.

Albert was a hard-working employee of John Deere Manufacturing Company for over 33 years, retiring on August 1, 1996. He worked in the Plow and Planter Division and later in the Parts Depot in Milan, Illinois. Albert attended Bethel Baptist Church in Galesburg. He had a lifelong love of cars and motorcycles and enjoyed attending car shows. He was known for being meticulous, taking great pride in keeping both his vehicles and his lawn in pristine condition.

In accordance with Albert’s wishes, cremation will be accorded. A private memorial service will be Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Fogerty officiating. A Celebration of Life visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice, Bethel Baptist Church, or the American Cancer Society.
