Marlene L. Moulden, 93, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 in Gerlaw, Il.

Marlene was born July 8, 1932 in Monmouth the daughter of Elmer A. and Gertrude L. (Hull) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School.

Marlene married Donald E. “Gene” Moulden in Monmouth on August 3, 1952 and he passed away on December 21, 1995.

She worked in the Bookkeeping Dept at the National Bank of Monmouth, as Hostess at Meling’s Restaurant, later getting her Real Estate license and working at Lischwe Reality in Monmouth.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Monmouth, the Limited Rods of Western Illinois. She enjoyed street rodding, car shows, roller skating and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Doug (Susan) Moulden of Little York, IL; daughter-in-law, Ondria Moulden of Gerlaw; her grandsons, Anthony (Nichole) Moulden and Brandon (Jessica) Moulden; great-grandchildren, Aleeah, Alexa, Branley, Bentley, Carter and Cayden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Kirk E. Moulden.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory.  Interment will follow at Warren Memorial Park, Monmouth.  No visitation hours are planned.
