The Jamieson Community Center is gearing up for their third annual “A Night at the Races.” The fundraiser will be held March 7 at Meks on Main in Monmouth. Doors open at 5:30 with post time set for 6:15.
Executive Director Nancy Mowen shares the details.
“People can name a horse. We have six races. We have horses available for each race. We’ve sold more than half already, so time is running out. If you want to name a horse, and your horse wins the race, you win a trophy with your horse’s name engraved. So that’s a little fun. That’s 20 bucks a horse. Then we have tickets for sale. $25 gets you some great food, a couple drink tickets and an evening of fun with your friends.”\
Mowen adds that all proceeds benefit the Weekend Meals Program. For more information or to name a horse, check out the Jamieson Community Center Facebook page.
