Jeffrey R. Holeman, 70, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center in Galesburg, IL. 

He was born on February 17, 1955 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Max “Smokey” and Georgene (Means) Holeman. Jeff was raised and educated in Monmouth. 

Jeff was a Union Painter for 30 years.  He later worked for Wells Pet Food in Monmouth retiring in 2024.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking out, drinking beer, hanging out with friends and living with his best friend, Joe Bailey, on a farm near Cameron.  He was a Los Angeles Rams fan.

Survivors include his; several nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law, Jeanie Holeman of Monmouth, IL

He was preceded in death by his parents; his 4 brother, Lee Holeman, Donnie Holeman, Theodore Holeman and Jan Holeman; 3 nieces, Joyce Barry, Jeanine Holeman and Leslie Holeman.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date. Memorials can be given to Western Illinois Animal Rescue and sent to the funeral home.
