The Central Warren County Fire Protection District is actively recruiting volunteers to join the Firemen’s Association and serve the local community. With stations in Cameron and Kirkwood, Captain Trevor Davies shares how you can become involved:
“Reach out to any of us who are on the fire department, and we will certainly get you in to visit with you. We provide all of your training, equipment, all of those things. Our training, we meet twice a month, we meet the first and third Monday evenings of the month for in-house training and then we also provide various opportunities to go to IFSI, the Illinois Fire Service Institute, in Champaign to do more intense training, which is the same training that our paid local fire departments use. We make sure our firefighters always have the best training available to them.”
This Saturday, February 21st, the Central Warren Firemen’s Association is hosting a Taco Dinner at the Cameron Fire Station from 5 to 7 pm for a freewill donation.
