The West Central School District sold an $8 million life safety bond last fall to continue life-safety projects at their buildings. Superintendent Stacey Day shares where the construction projects will take place:
“The roof at the high school, most of the roof, we will do the gym roof as a separate project later on, an additional window project at the high school, we will do some windows at the middle school, and exterior door work at the elementary school. We are going to put some concrete work on the backside of the middle school, remove an asphalt slab that is back there by the baseball and softball fields when you come out of the building and redo that area that needs done and then our elementary playground.”
Projects are currently going out for bid and expected to be approved and assigned by the end of the school year.
