Two new employees have joined the City of Monmouth Public Works Department, informs Director Brayden Bledsoe:

“We filled two of our vacancies, which were opened up from retirements. These were existing positions. We hired Eric Johnson as our new Water Superintendent. He is going to be replacing Richard Nelson. Richard had been with us for a few years. He was from Galesburg for years before that, but Eric is coming on. He has a lot of knowledge. He is from Alexis. He actually was their Water and Wastewater Manager there, so we got a really good hire with him. We also hired Ethan Davis, who is a local guy, as our Meter Reader.”

In other city news, the next Monmouth City Council meeting will be held Monday, March 23rd at 6 pm inside City Hall.
