The Monmouth-Roseville High School Performing Arts Department will present their spring musical this Friday, March 20th through Sunday, March 22nd in the High School Auditorium. Senior Cast Member Drew Carlson shares the plot:
“The musical is based on a true story. We are flashing back to 2001, 9/11. This takes place in a town called Gander in Newfoundland, Canada. The show is essentially all about unity and how connected humankind can be in such a terrible time where these people who have come from all across the world, come to this town and they provide for them and they just give them their love,” says Carlson.
“I love Miss Agar’s directing for this show. We are on stage the entire time and just the choices that she is allowing us to make is so cool and really elevating the theme of humanity and connectedness,” Carlson adds.
Performances will be held at 7 pm Friday and Saturday and at 2 pm Sunday afternoon. Tickets are available at the door and are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children six and under are free.
