On March 26, 2026, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the joint Knox County / Galesburg Police Department Special Response Team (SRT), executed a search warrant in Wataga, Illinois, following a series of burglary investigations across Knox County and surrounding areas.
This investigation was the result of coordinated efforts between patrol deputies and investigators, successfully linking suspect activity, stolen property, and evidence across multiple reported incidents throughout the county.
Two individuals were taken into custody, and stolen property, including firearms, was recovered. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.

Jesse D. Line (DOB: 07/17/1992)
Charges:
• Burglary
• Theft
• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (3 counts)
• Unlawful Sale of a Firearm (2 counts)
• Possession of a Firearm without FOID (3 counts)
• FOID Violation– Ammunition
• Rock Island County, Illinois Warrant
• Scott County, Iowa Warrant
This investigation remains ongoing. Investigators continue processing evidence and working to identify additional stolen property connected to other incidents.
