Governor Pritzker’s officer is warning that 150-thousand Illinoisans are at risk of losing federal food assistance next month. Pritzker says residents who rely on the SNAP can use the state’s screener tool to confirm if their benefits are at risk. Illinoisans may lose their benefits beginning May 1st if they haven’t worked, participated in a training program, or volunteered a minimum of 80 hours per month starting February 1st, they are 18 to 64 years old, don’t have children under 14, are able-bodied and aren’t eligible for an exemption.
