If you’ve followed Monmouth College football at all over the past four years, the name Anthony Cikauskas has been impossible to miss.

Cikauskas arrived in 2022 and quickly turned into one of the most dominant defensive players in the Midwest Conference. His breakout came as a sophomore, piling up 17 sacks, 26 tackles for loss, and five forced fumbles. That season alone earned him First Team All-Conference, Midwest Conference Defensive Line MVP, and First Team All-American honors.

He didn’t slow down from there. Over his final two seasons, Cikauskas added 13 more sacks, 43 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles. The awards kept stacking up too, with two more First Team All-Conference selections, another Defensive Line MVP, and All-Region recognition. He also helped lead the Scots back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019.

Cikauskas leaves Monmouth College as one of the most dominant defensive players in program history, holding the school records for sacks, tackles for loss, and forced fumbles.

But when you ask him what stands out most about his time with the Fighting Scots football program, it’s not the stats or the trophies.

“Just meeting new people, meeting all my friends. Because I came here not knowing anyone, and I’m leaving with a bunch of close friends that I’ll know forever, coaches, mentors, and everything. So it’s great.”

Cikauskas has also spent this semester interning here at the radio station, and after graduation in May, he plans to pursue a career in law enforcement.
