Visitors of the Warren County History Museum can expect to see new exhibits on display this year, informs Executive Director Dr. Eugene Watkins:

“The new school exhibit will focus on Warren County schools after what happened as the one-room schoolhouses shutdown and consolidated. This will focus on the schools after that. If people have memorabilia from Alexis, Little York, or Yorkwood, Warren School, or early Monmouth stuff; we have a few items, but it should be an interesting history of that. I think a lot of the kids now don’t realize the consolidations that happened and the histories of their schools,” states Dr. Watkins.

“The other big one that we are working on is the Civil War exhibit. We are updating that and expanding it. We have a few more artifacts that have not been out on exhibit I don’t think since the museum was in Roseville,” Dr. Watkins adds.

Dr. Watkins reports another exhibit that will open at a later date will focus on pre-history of Warren County, featuring animals, early civilizations, and well-known people to the area.
