Daniel M. Eiker passed away on Monday, May 11th at the age of 66 leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and memories. Born December 12, 1959 to Bud and Georganna Eiker. He graduated from Warren High school in 1978.

Danny was a devoted husband of nearly 46 years to the love of his life, Jolene.

A dedicated father and role model to his children, Chad (Shannon) Eiker, Amy (Troy) Crum and Cody (Ashley) Eiker.

A proud and loving grandpa whose grandchildren brought immense joy, Landon and Lanie Crum and Lilly and Dakota Eiker.

Danny worked as a route salesman for Frito Lay for 35 years before retiring in May of 2020. He had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. He was a “Mr. Fix it” and landscaper at Animal Medical Center, where he was proud to keep the grounds mowed and trimmed.

He had a passion for muscle cars, loved car shows and spent many hours at the drag racing track. He loved watching old westerns.

His family was his world and he was always available to help if they needed anything. He loved spending time with family and friends playing cards, bingo, quarters or just hanging out. A trip to Emo’s ice cream was always on his list of things to do.

While the love he felt for his family was devoted the love for his fur babies was deep and unconditional even the ones he didn’t want in the beginning. He was a softie and they won his heart.

We would like to thank Dr. Zeni Murphy and Tish at the Heart Failure clinic for their love and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, with a memorial service at 1:00 PM at Orange Chapel Reflections, 947 Knox Highway 27, Gilson. Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. In-lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ruby’s Rescue & Retreat in McClean, Illinois, (where his sweet Ruby came from) or to the Dan Eiker Memorial Fund at Animal Medical Center in Galesburg. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
