Andrew Knapp, 47, of Avon, Illinois, passed away at 5:11 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. He was born October 15, 1978 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Daniel Knapp and Debbie Diehl. He was raised in Avon and educated in Canton, graduating from Canton High School in 1997.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Daniel & Debra Knapp and Debbie Diehl; siblings, Brian Knapp and Timothy (Allison) Knapp; aunts, Robin Diehl, Mary Ausmus, Pam (Steve) Beard; uncles, Kenny (Rissa) Diehl and Jerry (Marcia) Knapp; nieces, Grace, Diann and Brianna; nephews, Nick (Ronss), Tristan, Kaiden, Maddox and Maxwell; one great-nephew, Ranier.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents John & Eileen Knapp and Sy & Mae Diehl; aunt, Lorrie; uncle, Tim and his beloved dog Lily Mae who he loved very much.

Andy worked for Neff Co in Avon and later for Zeta Manufacturing in Macomb, Wal-Mart, Bridgeway and Town & Country detailing. He enjoyed fishing with Grandpa Knapp, music, watching t.v. and working on lawnmowers and cars with his dad. He also enjoyed farming.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Per Andrew’s wishes no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Avon First Responders and left in the care of the funeral home.
