M. Kurt Becker, 69, of Lake Bracken, Galesburg, joined his mother in heaven on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

He was born to Alden and Mary (Pettifurd) Becker on February 17, 1957, in Galesburg. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1975. Following graduation, he married Robin Madvig. He later married Missi Becker. Kurt drove over-the-road trucking for many years before moving on to a position with UCM – Asphalt Division. He was a dedicated and loyal individual in everything he did. He loved music, playing in several bands when he was younger, golf, and hunting. Kurt was also a 32nd degree life member of the Alpha Masonic Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite in Moline. In his recent years he often stated that family was what was most important to him and time with family was his “happy place”.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Kistler; niece, Heather Fox; nephews, Brian Clark and Dustin Kistler; and great nephews, Alex Fox, Owen Fox, Morgin Knuth, and Hunter Kistler. He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

Masonic Rites will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the funeral home with Dan Fox officiating. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alpha Masonic Lodge. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
