Pamela Dale Gunther Robinson, 86, of Galesburg, passed away peacefully at 4:24 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 1, 1940, in Galesburg, the daughter of H. Dale and Marie (Maltby) Gunther. She married Donald S. Robinson on November 28, 1960, in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2021, after nearly 61 years of marriage.
She is survived by her children, Kim Hawkinson of Chicago, Kathy (Roger) Cisco of Geneva, Illinois, Karen (Matt) Bogen of Nolensville, Tennessee, and Kurt (Jenni) Robinson of Galesburg; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Peter (Mary Lou) Gunther of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Nicholas Arthur Bogen; and two sisters, Penny Bjorkman and Prue Hillier.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1957 and attended Knox College. In addition to being a homemaker and raising her family, Pam worked in sales for many years at Nyman’s Jewelry. She was a member of Soangetaha Country Club, Chapter W, PEO, and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She attended First Presbyterian Church. Pam enjoyed swimming, running, and walking. Her greatest joy was time spent with her large family. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with her son-in-law, Matt Bogen officiating. Cremation will be accorded after the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Knox College.
