Rhubarb Fest Returns to Downtown Aledo June 5 and 6

The famous Aledo Rhubarb Festival returns to Aledo on June 5 and 6, featuring all things rhubarb.

Festival volunteer Denny Brown says the event will offer a variety of free activities and attractions, including free admission, tastings and historical tours — all while placing rhubarb at the center of attention.

“Do not have rhubarb regret. Rhubarb regret is sometimes people think, ‘Oh, I’ll run up late this afternoon, get a rhubarb pie.’ As the day wears on, rhubarb pies are harder to come by,” Brown shares. “Between different organizations, we make as many pies as possible, and we have over 4,000 pies that will be available on those two days, and the pies are homemade now.”

The festival will also include a rhubarb run, pie-eating contest, local craft vendors and more. For the full schedule, visit AledoRhubarbFest.com.
