Roseville Launches Weekly Farmers Market at Eldridge City Park

Roseville residents will soon have a new place to shop local and connect with neighbors as the Roseville Farmers Market prepares to launch this summer.

The market will be held Thursdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Eldridge City Park. Market organizer Jan Taylor said vendors will offer fresh produce, woodworking, crafts, baked goods and more.

“I’ve always admired people who can grow a good garden and put the work into it like they do,” Taylor said. “Every year, you see people trying to give away extra cucumbers, zucchini and tomatoes, and I thought, why not give them an opportunity to make a little money on the side? I think people take pride in their produce as well. It’s a nice way for them to show off their skills and make a little money, too.”

Taylor said there are no vendor fees or participation obligations to join the market.

For more information or to become a vendor, visit the Roseville, Illinois Farmers Market Facebook page or email RosevilleFarmersMarket@yahoo.com.
