Judge Doyle Says Attorneys Still Needed in Rural Communities

Share

There is still a big need for attorneys in Warren County and rural communities across Illinois.

Ninth Judicial Circuit Judge Andrew Doyle says that need is not going away.

“When you talk to somebody like David Reed Clark, he would tell you that when he came back to town, there were like 38 attorneys in Monmouth at the time, and now we’re at less than 10, I would say. So there’s a huge need and desire for young people to be able to come back to small communities, and not only Warren County, but all rural communities throughout the state. There’s definitely money to be made there. There’s a need for it, and if anybody has any type of desire to go to law school or be an attorney in the future, I definitely encourage them to talk to somebody like Scott McClintock, myself, or other local attorneys to kind of give them a better idea about that path moving forward.”

Doyle says careers in law can go well beyond the courtroom, with opportunities in family law, business law, environmental law, and even sports law.
