The Monmouth Police Department is now hiring, with a testing date coming up on July 25th shares Police Chief Joe Switzer.
“We’re going to test again on July 25th to add to an additional eligibility list. We’re seeing smaller numbers of people coming out to test to be a police officer, and that’s not just here, that’s nationwide. We’re definitely going to do it again on July 25th at the police department. If anybody has any questions, please feel free to call the police department or come down there, and we’ll answer your questions.”
Switzer also shared May numbers for the Monmouth Police Department, where officers made 67 arrests, issued 89 citations, handled 17 accidents, and worked 1,800 hours. Switzer says 3,876 calls came into the dispatch center, MPD answered 1,787 calls, and dispatch handled 3,201 total calls for the various agencies they dispatch for.
