A familiar face has returned to McDonough District Hospital in a new role on a temporary basis, according to Vice President of Business Strategy Patrick Osterman:
“Wanda Foster has worked at MDH over 40 years. She was our former Chief Nursing Officer, before she retired, we brought her back for a brief stent as our interim Chief Nursing Officer, and then she actually joined our Board of Directors. Last week, was her first full week at MDH as our interim Chief Executive Officer,” shares Osterman.
“Wanda does a great job. She knows our organization, she has a passion to see our organization succeed, passion for patient care, and that is very infectious throughout the hospital. She is going to stay on as our interim CEO as the Board of Directors and the search committee does a search for a full-time, permanent CEO candidate. We did select a search firm, so they will start that process,” Osterman adds.
Meanwhile, Osterman informs the 27th Annual MDH Golf Tournament is scheduled for 10 am on Friday, September 4th in Macomb, with an additional Sunset Scramble and Social available on Thursday, September 3rd at 4:30 pm.
