George H. Brown, 76, of Galesburg, IL, passed away on August 24, 2026, at OSF St Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL.

He was born on May 28, 1950, the son of Gerald P. and Mary Bell (Coventry) Brown. George married Vicki L. Dare on June 26, 1970. They shared 44 of marriage, until her passing on June 10, 2015.

Left to cherish George is his mother, Mary Bell Brown, his children: Aaron Brown, and Julie Brown; six grandchildren, a great-grandchild; his siblings: Tom Brown, Michael Brown, and Bruce Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, his father, and brothers: Blaine Brown, and Gilbert Brown.

George graduated from Moweaqua Highschool. He spent many years at Gates, working on just about every machine.
