Between school buses making their morning and afternoon routes and construction crews working along area roadways, Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards is urging motorists to slow down and remain alert:
“Take into account on Highway 67 right now, way north, there are stop lights that are going to slow you down, they are flagging right now, and then you have the school buses. “Passing a school bus is an absolute no. If you get ticketed, it is going to be a mandatory court date and the bus drivers have every ability to sign those complaints too. They get that license plate number off your car, you are going to get cited. It is not worth the hurry. It is not worth the rush. When you see the yellow lights come on, they are warning you they are about to stop, they are about to get those red lights on. Use you head. Take care around those young ones,” Sheriff Edwards adds.
Sheriff Edwards is also reminding motorists to use extra caution on rural roads, especially at intersections, where the tall corn can limit visibility and obstruct the view of approaching traffic.
