Linda M. Wilhelm, 75, of Galesburg, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Allure of Galesburg.
She was born June 29, 1951, in Avon, the daughter of Newt and Georgia McCoy.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Shawn) Towne of Pekin; three grandchildren, Caleb Fisher, Kaitlyn Hoyer, and Noah Towne; a great granddaughter, Lexi Cooper; and a brother, Dan McCoy of the state of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George and Newt McCoy.
Linda was raised and educated in Avon, graduating from high school there in 1969. After moving to Galesburg, she worked cleaning homes and offices around town. Linda was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir.
When not working, Linda enjoyed listening to Country music and Country Line Dancing. She also liked to watch NASCAR and Indy Racing.
Visitation will be 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services of Galesburg. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Avon Cemetery with Rev. Deb Epley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
