The Monmouth-Roseville boys soccer team is heading into a big week with conference tournament seeding still on the line.

The Titans opened last week with a pair of wins, beating Princeton 4-1 and Macomb 7-2. Monmouth-Roseville then ran into a tougher stretch, falling 6-0 to Alleman and 5-0 to undefeated Mendota.

Now turning back to conference play, Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson says the Titans have already secured a top four spot and will host a TRAC Tournament quarterfinal matchup Saturday, but today and Tuesday will be huge for where they land in the bracket.

“We have a big week this week with the tournament getting started coming up on Saturday. We will be at Kewanee tonight, which is a big one for us. Just seeding-wise, it’s going to be really, really important. Right now, we’re pretty much locked in. We’re going to be hosting a quarterfinal game because we are going to be top four for sure. Then we have DePue on Tuesday as well, and then Saturday we’ll start the TRAC Tournament. The number one seed, which will be Mendota, is undefeated and will not have to play Saturday. Then the other six teams are playing at the top three seeds, seeds two through four.”

Tuesday is the cutoff for conference tournament seeding, so the results against Kewanee and DePue/Hall will finalize where the Titans land in Saturday’s bracket.
