Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 4th, 2026:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior volleyball player, Carmyn Way. Carmyn led the Titans in kills with 25 in the four matches her team played in the Orion Charger Invite. Her play was good enough to be named to the All-Tournament Team. Earlier in the week, Carmyn smashed 11 kills in a win at Farmington.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Kellen Boone. Kellen’s arm and feet played a big factor in a LincolnLand South Division win at LVC. He ran for 161 yards and four touchdowns. Kellen also threw for 126 more yards and another touchdown. He’s played a part of 23 total touchdowns so far this season.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Aidan Garner. Aidan had a great all-around game in a win over the West Prairie/Southeastern Co-Op. Carrying the ball 23 times, he ran for 312 yards and five touchdowns. Aidan also did damage in the passing game, with two receptions for 46 yards and scored his 6th touchdown of the game.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Evelin Guel. Evelin had a fantastic all-around week, filling up the stat chart in assists and digs. In two matches last week, she totaled 30 assist and 12 digs. For the season, Evelin is the leader in assists and 2nd in digs for the Streaks.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior boys golfer, Cooper Anderson. Cooper was the highest placing Tornado golfer at the class 1A regional tournament on a rainy day at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Bartonville. He shot a 108 for 45th place. Earlier this season, Cooper placed 18th out of 68 total golfers at the Stark County Invite at Midland Golf Club.
