Following months of construction, Buchanan Center for the Arts Executive Director Ann Tenold says the building is on track to welcome visitors back through the doors in 2027:

“We are on schedule to have the construction completed next month in December. We have almost two years of exhibits planned already. Part of the BCA mission is to support local artists and we are working on expanding the gift shop. It is now going to be called ‘The Artful Find.’ It will also have programs with artist spotlights and demonstrations,” Tenold informs.

“Upstairs, we will have a stage that is about two feet high and we will be able to seat probably 75 to 100 people. There is going to be a lot of opportunities for all kinds of shows. We will be able to teach classes and hold field trips up there. There is an elevator so anyone can get up there and we have two new restrooms up there as well,” adds Tenold.

“We plan to open Town and Country in January. It will be on two floors. It will be all of the grades, kindergarten through 12th, of all the counties,” Tenold says.

Additionally, on Saturday, November 14th, the Buchanan Center for the Arts will host their Taste of the Arts fundraiser at Meks on the Main in Monmouth, featuring Dueling Pianos by Howl at the Moon. Doors open at 6 pm with music beginning at 7 pm. Tickets are $50.
