On Monday, November 23rd, the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce will host their 48th Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Lake Storey Pavilion beginning at 11:30 am, where the Thomas B. Herring Award Recipient will also be honored, shares Executive Director Pam Gaither:
“Everybody loves a Thanksgiving feast, so we always plan for the same kind of meal. We will be awarding the 47th Thomas B. Herring Award at this event. Thomas B. Herring was the City Manager back in the 1970s. He was a philanthropist and was just an amazing community servant. This has been an annual award the Chamber has given to a recipient every year since his passing. The nominations are still open, so we encourage anyone to make a nomination for that award.”
