Galesburg man facing several drug charges following arrest in Macomb

On April 18, 2022, at approximately 9:02 p.m. a McDonough County Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of North Lafayette Street in Macomb, IL. The driver of the vehicle, Michael S. Dickerson, 46, of Galesburg, IL was stopped for several traffic violations. McDonough County K-9 Hunter was called to assist during the traffic stop. A positive alert to the odor of illegal narcotics resulted in a search of the vehicle.

Deputies located approximately 5-15 Grams of Methamphetamine and approximately 1-15 grams of Fentanyl which was packaged for delivery.

Dickerson was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of Methamphetamine 5 to 15 Grams, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) 1 to 15 Grams, Possession of Methamphetamine 5-15 grams, and Possession of a Controlled Substance less than 15 Grams.

Dickerson was lodged in the McDonough County Jail in lieu of bond.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
